The Challenge & Our Solution
How we identified key business friction and engineered custom digital solutions.
Obstacle & Brief
A per diem practice runs on speed: other law firms need to see coverage areas and rates, and then book an appearance, in minutes. The practice needed a fast, credible public website and a way to manage the work behind it: appearance orders, contact inquiries, law-firm clients, and a calendar of upcoming appearances. Doing that in a standard WordPress theme would have meant a slower site and a backend that wasn't built around how the business actually works.
Technical Execution
We split the build into two connected parts. The front end is a fast, SEO-friendly Next.js website with a rate sheet, per diem services, an order coverage form, and a client portal. Behind it, WordPress works as a headless backend, connected to the front end through an API. On top of WordPress we built a custom admin dashboard with pages for appearance orders, contact inquiries, law firms and clients, a calendar, reports, and settings. The dashboard shows total orders, upcoming appearances, new inquiries, active clients with portal accounts, an orders trend chart, and orders by status. Law firms get their own portal accounts, and everything they submit lands straight in the admin dashboard.
The Admin Dashboard
A custom dashboard built on WordPress gives the team one place to manage orders, inquiries, clients, and appearances.
